Acceptable Use Policy

Service use, resources and security handling. Version: 2026-10-10. Prohibited-use list updated: 2026-10-10.

1. Prohibited activities in all regions

All prohibited uses listed here are Hoststare service restrictions that apply worldwide, regardless of the customer’s location or the server’s location. They apply even where local law permits the activity.

  • No copyright infringement or illegal trade, including drugs, forged documents and stolen data.
  • No phishing, deceptive advertising, scam mail or unauthorised personal-data collection, storage or distribution.
  • No viruses, trojans, ransomware, backdoors or other harmful programs.
  • No unauthorised access, tampering, interference, port scanning, brute-force attacks or DDoS.
  • No unsolicited bulk or commercial email.
  • No extremism, terrorism, racial hatred, anti-humanity content, extreme violence, child sexual abuse, false political propaganda or misinformation.
  • No excessive resource use through malicious scraping, mining or scripts; no bypassing security or service limits, unlawful conduct or harm to others.

2. Networks and resources

Routine automation remains subject to the purchased specifications and the resource-abuse prohibition above.

3. Notices and response

Keep email and tickets accessible. Respond to an upstream complaint notice within 72 hours and cooperate with remediation. Urgent harm or a shorter legal deadline requires action as instructed. Failure to respond or resolve the issue can result in restrictions, termination and loss of data access.

4. Handling and review

Hoststare may require remediation, restrict connections or suspend service according to risk; infrastructure providers may act first. Include times, affected service, logs and remediation evidence in a review request. Restoration depends on resolution and infrastructure conditions. Do not evade restrictions by moving accounts or ordering again.

5. Access and evasion

Restricted uses encompass storage, distribution, access and the provision of relevant sites, applications and network services, not just publication. Do not evade restrictions through proxies, forwarding or new accounts. A service restriction is not a finding about legality in every jurisdiction.

6. Other prohibited uses worldwide

All prohibited uses listed here are Hoststare service restrictions that apply worldwide, regardless of the customer’s location or the server’s location. They apply even where local law permits the activity.

  • No obscene material, adult-product trading or sexual-service information.
  • No illegal betting, online casinos or related trading platforms.
  • No narcotics, drug precursors or hazardous chemicals.
  • No firearms, ammunition, military or police equipment, eavesdropping devices or hacking software.
  • No forged documents, counterfeit currency, illegal negotiable instruments, private-data trading, phishing, scams or fake-base-station information.
  • No unlawful political, subversive or national-security-threatening information, or activity violating Hong Kong or Mainland China law.
  • No unauthorised intrusion, scanning, attacks, tampering, malware, backdoors, spam, resource abuse or disruption of cybersecurity or public order.

7. Complaints, removal and lawful reporting

A substantiated abuse complaint may lead to immediate restrictions. The notice states response requirements. Failure to cooperate by the deadline can lead to removal of violating content, termination and loss of data access. Records may be supplied and incidents reported under valid legal requirements. Use a Hoststare ticket or [email protected] for review.
